Film Festival InternAt — The My Hero Project

Every year, The MY HERO International Film Festival showcases short films that promote heroism and activism. The Film Festival Intern will help to produce this online event. Duties include inviting films to the festival, promotion of winning films, and sponsor and media outreach. Creating and editing videos for MY HERO. Develop your graphic design and social media skills. 

-Finding and inviting films to the My Hero International Film Festival
-Creating and editing short videos
-Creating graphics for social media and the My Hero website
-Serving as a judge at the film festival
-Possible sponsor and media outreach

Training:

The student will meet with the supervisor, additional mentors, and other interns at weekly Zoom meetings. During these meetings, interns will present their work and receive feedback from the group. Interns will also communicate with supervisor and mentors through email, phone, and optional one-on-one Zoom meetings.

Learning Outcomes:

-The student will learn how to evaluate films in a festival setting
-The student will develop their video production and editing skills
-The student will develop their graphic design and social media skills
-The student will gain knowledge of how a film festival is run
