Sustainable Food Systems: U100 OpportunityAt — CSUN - Institute for Sustainability (U100 Project)
Students will receive an overview of the spaces where food is grown and then come for a day of action in the garden, either planting, harvesting, and/or weeding. Students will have an opportunity to taste what is being grown in the gardens, and they may help deliver some of what is harvested to the pantry.

Class Time Required: One for volunteering in the Garden
Learn: Students will learn about fruits and vegetables produced on campus and the importance of food sovereignty. They will also learn about the journey of the food grown on campus and its destination to the CSUN Food Pantry. Students will also learn about regenerative farming and/or growing food in hydroponics.
