Our network is prepared to offer our internships on a \\hybrid\\ (combined virtual/on-site) basis for the 2024/2025 academic year.

We are a youth sports broadcast network looking for a marketing/public relations internship candidate. This is an exciting opportunity that will give you experience in marketing, internet and television broadcast distribution, branding, event planning and community engagement while also boosting your resume. You will work in a key marketing and public relations role while receiving training and exposure to many aspects of the Kids Sports News Network mission.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the execution of outreach efforts to the youth sports market, inclusive of organizations, families, youth athletes, industry professionals and prospective corporate partners
- Support the marketing team with marketing initiatives and activities
- Assist supervisor with various digital marketing initiatives
- Assist with insuring the correct marketing message is conveyed during network shoots
- Provide support for network events as required
- Create social media posts
- Assist in the procurement and retention of network sponsors and advertisers
- Understand and create strategies to track performance metrics for various campaigns
- Assist with developing marketing strategies for promoting the KSNN brand and its partners
- Performs research activities
- Assists network staff with other business development and network management projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Strategic Marketing Knowledge

- Sports background a plus
- Self-starter - able to work well without constant direction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Should have access to reliable transportation

Hours: Flexible
Compensation: Non-paid, academic credit available

Training:
Students will have the opportunity to test a future career in marketing, without committing, to determine if it is a career path that is satisfying, while applying skills they have mastered in the classroom in a \\real world\\ setting. They will work directly on a marketing plan designed for our core market, families with children in sports. They will receive supervised training to assess it for its relevance to a culture which is now driven by new trends in technology, the internet, entertainment, immediate gratification, social media popularity, and pop culture emergence, just to name a few considerations. Their ideas and \\out of the box\\ perspectives are welcomed.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this academic internship students will learn about:
1). Practical marketing strategies
2). Public relations strategies
3). Fostering a rapport with youth sports industry professionals.
4). The importance of branding and connecting emotionally with the youth sports market.
5). The production process relative to creating and producing content for marketing teams.
