Opportunity Summary 

The Intern will Observe Children and Teaching Staff's interactions with the children throughout the daily routine.

Interact with children (communicating, playing, being part of the activities)
Develop, design, and implement lessons in specific curriculum areas (math, science, social studies, language arts, etc.)
With guidance, conduct circle time, large group time
Cleaning responsibilities with set-up and take-down
Follow Safety and supervision protocol of the children

The students will receive supervised, hands on training with the following tools:
Provide an overview of the DRDP-Preschool Assessment Tool.
Discuss the purpose of using the DRDP and how to use it.
Introduce and discuss the CLASS observation tool.
Introduce and review the FCCERS rating scale.
Discuss and Review the Preschool Learning Foundations

Students will explore the relationship between theory and practice in programs for young children. Students will understand developmental stages, the role of the teacher in early childhood programs, and the relationships between programs and families. Students will be able to observe and record objective anecdotes, examine environments for young children and plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities.

Creative Minds Preschool and Kindergarten is run from the proprietors home. Background check and TB test required.

Training:
