Development and Fundraising (Nonprofit Management)At — Women's Economic Ventures
WEV is a nonprofit that has been serving the community since 1991. With a mission rooted in elevating the financial independence of women, WEV continues to work towards leveling the playing field for women in the community by providing low to no-cost financial and small-business resources. You will gain vital knowledge in nonprofit management by working directly with the Development Manager and being immersed in the strategy, marketing, and relationship building that is key to successful nonprofit fundraising. You will have the opportunity to dive into donor outreach, learn about the makings of a nonprofit board, and see how the Development and Fundraising arm of a nonprofit provides funding to programs and services that ultimately enhance the community.
If interested in this opportunity, please contact Lauren Lafferty, Development Manager, at llafferty@wevonline.org.

Because WEV is a nonprofit with under 20 employees, the student will be able to connect with and learn about the different facets that make up nonprofit management, including programs, volunteers, and oversight.
The student will work directly with WEV's Development Manager, regular check-ins and training will be provided on an ongoing basis. WEV works on a hybrid and mostly remote schedule - trainings can be done virtually.
