As a Behavior Technician you will:
- Provide clients with highly effective in-home treatments in the field of ABA
- Follow and implement behavioral intervention plans as designed under the mentorship of your Supervisor and BCBA
- Share input on the day-to-day operations of your client’s program
- Track clients progress and growth
- Educate families/caregivers on behavior interventions strategies

Technical Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRASPORTATION
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BA/BS or AA (with coursework in psychology or a related field)
- Experience with kids is necessary if you do not have experience in the field or a degree in a related field (psychology, child development, education, etc)
- Flexible with work schedule to accommodate potential needs during M-F 2pm-8pm peak hours
- Spanish speaking is preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge in ABA strategies or a high willingness to learn
Tasks:
- Provide clients with in-home ABA treatments.
- Follow and implement behavioral intervention plans under supervision.
- Track and document client progress and growth.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavior intervention strategies.
- Share input on the daily operations of client programs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.
Training:
The intern will receive an initial orientation covering company practices, ABA methodologies, and safety procedures. Regular feedback will be provided through weekly meetings to review progress and address any challenges. Ongoing mentorship will be offered by a BCBA and the Supervisor to ensure the intern is well-supported and achieving the learning outcomes. Additional training will include hands-on experience in implementing ABA strategies and educational workshops.
Learning Outcome:
- Implement and follow behavioral intervention plans effectively.
- Track and report client progress and growth using data-driven methods.
- Educate families and caregivers on ABA strategies and techniques.
- Collaborate with a team and contribute to the development and execution of behavioral interventions.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional ABA setting, including the opportunity for RBT credentialing and BCBA oversight.
Note: A minimum commitment of 6 months, including time during the semester, is required for students to qualify for this internship opportunity.
