As a B.A. Intern, can explore the following areas: Case management, administrative duties, office procedures and protocols, intake process and shadowing, updating community resources, assisting on giveaway events, and more!
Student will assist with file destruction according to regulations, learn to handle confidential paperwork according to agency policy, shadow daily tasks of an assigned case manager, document notes and client information, assess client needs, and learn office etiquette.

Training:
Training will include orientation and onboarding where interns will learn all about what the city has to offer the community. A tour of city facilities that assist in Human Services is provided prior to the start of the internship. They will meet with a case manager bi-weekly to shadow and learn how to assist the members of the community that we serve.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be knowledgeable in city programs, agency policies and procedures, as well as community resources. The student will learn to schedule an intake, write and use case notes, and develop a professional demeanor with the community, both internally and externally.
