Opportunity Summary 

In this position, the intern will work directly with me to achieve the best outcomes for the students. The interns will be directly involved in all areas of the course. This position will serve as a foundation for any intern who wants to teach or lead in future positions. The course is on critical thinking, and I will work with interns on developing mastery of their critical thinking skills for their thinking, communication ability, and long-term professional and academic success.

Learning Outcomes  

  • Have sufficient competency in the material and training skills to:
    • *hold tutorial hours for students
    • *develop tutorial material for the course
    • *conduct review sessions
    • *correct homework and/or exams using a rubric
    • *lead class discussion

Training  

  • Instructor will use the following training methods
    • *Use Bloom taxonomy to aid interns in understanding learning objectives
    • *review material with interns to assist in their communication with students
    • *provide continual feedback on reaching learning objectives and working as a team member
    • *set expectations and best practices for interns to deliver in the classroom and mentor students
    • *include interns in planning outcomes for classes.

Tasks/Duties  

  • * Apply Bloom taxonomy in setting learning objectives for students
    • * assist in creating new exercises to demonstrate students' application of key learning points
    • *lead a class discussion through exercise to meet the exercise learning objective
    • *provide mentoring to students to assist in meeting class outcomes
    • *Work with the instructor, interns, and class to achieve the desired outcomes.
