Opportunity Summary 

Assist with reproduction, prep, prepping canvases, working w/ artist on events, inventory, shipping art, working with customers, and social media. 

Tasks
The student will be tasked with ensuring the success of a freelance art studio. This includes researching the art/product/materials they are working with, alongside a team of employees, in order to assist the artist, facilitate a clean, organized work environment, and make sales with customers. Intern will gloss quality giclees, set up/tear down shows, work directly with customers, and learn the ins and outs of a private business.

Training
Meetings with staff, one week of training with materials (edging canvases, glossing giclees, organizing files, basic maintenance, etc.), one week of shadowing, weekly one-on-ones, showing employee the route for supplies and shipping, and attending at least one show.

Learning Outcomes:
Student will be able to learn the basics of running an art business, building a portfolio, and maintaining relations with clients.
