Project Youth OC is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting at-promise youth in the Orange County community. Our mission is to keep at-promise youth in school, healthy and drug-free through education, counseling, mentoring, and family strengthening. Through various programs, we aim to create a brighter future for young individuals facing challenges such as poverty, academic struggles, and other socio-economic barriers. Project Youth OC is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Marketing Intern. This internship opportunity is designed for a college student who is passionate about leveraging the power of social media to make a positive impact in the community.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms.
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Open to working independently
- Basic graphic design skills (Constant Contact, Canva, etc.) are a plus.
- Passion for youth empowerment and community service.
This internship offers a unique opportunity for a college student to contribute to Project Youth OC's mission, develop valuable skills in social media marketing and newsletter creation, and make a positive impact on the lives of at-promise youth in Orange County.
SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
- Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across Project Youth OC's social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and engage with the online community in a timely and positive manner.
- Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns to raise awareness of Project Youth OC's programs, events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Develop, and design content for Project Youth OC's newsletters, ensuring a cohesive and compelling narrative that aligns with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with different Project Youth OC programs to gather relevant updates, success stories, and program highlights for inclusion in newsletters.
- Utilize email marketing tools to create and distribute newsletters to the organization's mailing list.
