Teaching Assistant- Prof. J. CoonsAt — CSUF - College of Humanities & Social Science

Student will be a teaching assistant in one of my courses. The student will be responsible for meeting with students for one-on-one support, reviewing student work and providing feedback, holding exam review sessions, and other teaching assistant related needs as they arise throughout the semester.

Learning Outcomes  

Effectively learn what it means to be a psychology professor, how to communicate with others when they may be delivering less than favorable feedback, as well as learn how to prepare content for course review sessions.

Training  

Provide the student with clear expectations of their TA role, provide the student detailed rubrics for student feedback, provide the student opportunities to develop review sessions.

Tasks/Duties  

Directly assisting students when delivering feedback, regular meetings with the student to discuss future assignments and rubrics, and ample opportunity for the student to work on their presenting abilities during review sessions.
