Opportunity Summary 

Create a map to help clarify for the public the boundaries of our parks, wards and district.

  • The map will demonstrate the continuity of Monterey region parks and open spaces from Big Sur to Marina. Something that is often lost when viewing each park system independently.
  • Turn the map into a public outreach poster for our interpretive centers and public outreach booth events.
  • Bring your creativity, skills on ArcGIS and Canva, and interpretation skills to the table and work with our environmental education team and at our parks to gain inspiration.

Experience/requirements:

  • Familiar with and access to Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design tools.
  • Familiar with and access to ArcGIS.
  • Access to a computer.

Opportunity Training 

Initial orientation about the agency and overview of the project. Meetings and check-ins with staff generally once a week (Wednesday-Saturday)
