Hands-On Occupational Therapist Aide InternshipAt — Karate For All

Opportunity Summary 

- If you are interested in pursuing any health profession, then Karate For All is an excellent opportunity to help prepare you! Our volunteers assist children with a variety of acquired conditions including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy.
- Volunteers will assist an Occupational Therapist in teaching Karate to special needs children.
- No experience required and you will learn Karate as you go along.
- Must be patient and able to work with children.
- We recommend individuals to commit to volunteering on a regular basis to ensure stability to the children of the course.
- Volunteer at least 4 hours a week.
- Volunteer must be committed long term, at least one year duration.
- Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.

Training:

Volunteer will be required to attend an orientation session. Volunteer will be further mentored during each subsequent volunteer session for further training and development. Volunteers will learn proper mechanics and other techniques for physical movement.
