Program Facilitator InternshipAt — The Eli Home, Inc.
Overseeing mother/child interactions
(i.e., positive interaction time, Mommy & Me, Toddler Interaction, and outside play)
Supervision of children.
Supervise and plan structured and unstructured play time during mother’s case management, counseling, and class time.
Plan and lead small/large group activities that are developmentally appropriate.
Overseeing programs
Work with Case Manager and client on the development of client family’s goals and family plan. Assist with researching community referrals, service connection and documentation.
Assist client families with homework, program materials and assist with any questions.
Facilitation of children’s life skills groups.
Assemble parenting & life skills program materials
Training:
Eli Home agency and shelter policies and procedures.
Weekly one on one mentor meetings
Job shadowing-Case management and Program facilitator (client assessments and service documentation).
Child abuse training module
Skills training (Parenting and Toddler Interaction program)
Learning Outcomes:
Apply developmental theory, research, and principles to program context.
Demonstrate understanding of professional ethics and legal issues.
Demonstrate knowledge of professional responsibilities related to child abuse reporting mandates.
Demonstrate knowledge of purpose, organizational structure, and policies associated with The Eli Home.
