Opportunity Summary 

Students will have the opportunity to work with former NFL and CFL All Star Maurice Mann. Coach Mo has developed his methodology based on 20 years of elite football training integrated with rotational movement patterns through steel mace, clubbell and landmine methods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of biomechanics and kinesiology to help young athletes develop fundamental movement patterns, enhance their performance, prevent injuries, and utilize their full body effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to work with youth athletes who train at the highest level of their sport. Students will be surrounded by coaches and athletes from all sports and will get to enjoy working at the Clubhouse in Pacific Grove.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to design and implement training programs that emphasize lateral and rotational movements, focusing on injury prevention and full-body utilization. How to lead individual and group sessions for youth athletes, ensuring each session is tailored to the specific needs and skill levels of the participants. How to conduct assessments to identify movement inefficiencies and address potential injury risks. Use video analysis and other tools to provide feedback and adjust training regimens. How to educate athletes on the importance of proper technique and the role of lateral and rotational movements in athletic performance and injury prevention. How to track and monitor and record athletes’ progress, making necessary adjustments to training plans to ensure continuous improvement. Communication skills to work closely with coaches, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive training environment. Provide insights and recommendations for holistic athlete development.

Opportunity Training 

Students will take part in an orientation and training. Students will work closely with coaches until they are ready to run classes on their own.
