Five Keys - Transitional Employment

Organization Description

Through the use of social and restorative justice principles, Five Keys provides traditionally underserved communities the opportunity to improve their lives through a focus on the Five Keys: EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, RECOVERY, FAMILY, COMMUNITY.

Program Information

In this internship, interns engage directly with clients transitioning from incarceration, developing personalized case plans and conducting needs assessments to address barriers like housing and employment. They monitor progress and provide vital resources for stability. Additionally, interns foster partnerships for reentry support, working with local entities to create sustainable opportunities. They advocate for policy changes and spearhead initiatives promoting inclusivity. Interns also contribute to designing non-profit programs for formerly incarcerated individuals, gaining insights into reentry services and community development. This comprehensive experience equips interns with skills to effect positive change in the lives of those impacted by the justice system.
