Clinical Intern Program At — Solano County Office of Education

Opportunity Summary 

SCOE's Clinical Intern Program offers an opportunity to further develop clinical skills, while addressing the mental health needs and resource deficits of Solano County students. SCOE’s partnership with local school districts provides increased access to mental health support and case management, regardless of student’s socioeconomic status. Interns are provided tools and platforms to become community advocates that challenge stigma that impact mental health wellness. Orientation, onboarding, and ongoing didactic training provided through the course of the internship. SCOE Cultural Brokers also provide ongoing training and case consultation in order to offer support around providing trauma informed and culturally responsive services. All interns will receive weekly individual and group supervision along with a stipend per semester.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Clinical, case management, and advocacy skills as well as have opportunities to provide SEL groups, whole classroom presentations, and workshops. In addition, opportunities are offered to engage in community activities and events with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
