Behavior InterventionistAt — Vivid Minds Therapy
As a Behavior Interventionist with Vivid Minds Therapy employees are responsible for:
- Teach and support clients typically in a home setting, clinic or after school programs
- Assess crisis situations and defuse situations
- Collect data on specified behaviors and skills, and implement clinical programs assigned by a BCBA
- Follow, implement, demonstrate, and teach behavior intervention plans and provide support
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Training
1. General employer orientation (mandatory)
2. Complete 2 in person trainings - 1 covering policies and procedures and 1 covering clinical terminology and strategies
3. Complete 4 overlaps with senior therapists during a client session
Learning Outcomes
1.Crisis Management and De-escalation Techniques: Employees will gain expertise in assessing and defusing crisis situations, learning how to respond calmly and effectively to behavioral challenges.
2. Data Collection and Analysis: Employees will develop skills in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on client behaviors and progress, which is crucial for implementing effective behavior intervention plans.
3. Behavioral Intervention and Support: Employees will learn how to follow, implement, and teach behavior intervention plans, gaining hands-on experience in applying evidence-based strategies to support clients in various settings.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Employees will enhance their ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including BCBAs and other professionals, and will improve their communication skills in providing clear, consistent support to clients and their families.
