Graphic Designer - M. GreenleeAt — Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Cal State Fullerton

This is a graphic design internship for students of Cal State Fullerton. Their work will support the events, causes and initiatives of Associated Students Inc., CSUF (ASI). The student will be a part of the graphic design team, be responsible for creating digital and print campaigns from inception to completion, will produce in-house large-format prints, and provide customer service to all of our clients.

Learning Outcomes  

By the end of this internship, the student will be able to design digital and print graphics in support of large and small marketing/advertising campaigns, will be able to print and mount artwork using a large-format printer and laminator, and will actively participate in design concept pitches and critiques for large-scale campus events.

Training  

To help the students achieve the learning outcomes listed above, I will provide guidance and critiques on work and process, and will also rely on student leads and other teammates to provide that guidance as well. I will also provide training and repetitive opportunities to practice and learn printing, mounting and trimming techniques to provide our customers with the best quality products. Team-based collaboration and learning will be a major focus in the studio.

Tasks/Duties  

The student will demonstrate the learning outcomes by utilizing professional grade equipment and software to create real-world marketing deliverables. They will practice customer service techniques through written and verbal communication within our project management software. And will learn to work both independently and as a collaborator on numerous projects simultaneously. Their tasks each day will vary based on personal and office workload.
