Opportunity Summary 

The candidate has the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn the public relations business at an entertainment public relations firm. Interns will get to know how media works and will be supporting teams on a variety of clients in the travel/hospitality, scheduling, pitching and more. The AGPR internship experience incorporates writing, researching, media relations supporting, compiling and researching press clippings, maintaining press kit original, updating electronic press kit, assisting on special projects and administrative assignments.

Tasks:

Drafts basic public relations materials including press releases, one-sheets, servicing, pitch and secure/offer memo, mail merging, press kit original, electronic press kit, client meeting summaries, status reports and other materials as directed.

Training:

The student will receive an onboarding packet and will be provided daily guidance by a senior publicist.

Learning Outcome:

Communication - The student will gain a better understanding of how public relations professionals interact with media and talent throughout the duration of the internship.

Skills - The student will gain skills and industry knowledge of tools like Cision, Constant Contact, Canva and more.

Research - The student will be able to conduct industry-related research, identify interview opportunities, and help strategize communication plans as they relate to PR campaigns.
