Art Education InternshipAt — The Art of Elysium

Opportunity Summary 

An internship with The Art of Elysium will allow an art education student to experience art education in non-traditional environments including but not limited to hospitals, senior centers, special needs schools, and homeless shelters

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn how to adapt and present art experiences that are developmentally and age appropriate and take into consideration emotional and physical factors that might impact learning.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive an initial training to understand the role, scope of services, and populations needs. Additional training will come from work one on one with an experienced art educator and art therapist.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students would be required to provide their own transportation and might be required to wear masks during art sessions due to the medical vulnerability of some of our populations
