Art Education InternshipAt — The Art of Elysium
An internship with The Art of Elysium will allow an art education student to experience art education in non-traditional environments including but not limited to hospitals, senior centers, special needs schools, and homeless shelters
Students will learn how to adapt and present art experiences that are developmentally and age appropriate and take into consideration emotional and physical factors that might impact learning.
Students will receive an initial training to understand the role, scope of services, and populations needs. Additional training will come from work one on one with an experienced art educator and art therapist.
Students would be required to provide their own transportation and might be required to wear masks during art sessions due to the medical vulnerability of some of our populations
Students should submit a resume and plan to have a short interview with The Art of Elysium staff to ensure this is the right internship placement for them and their academic requirements and interests.
