Health & Safety

New and returning Volunteers for San José Unified:

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. Get a TB test. (See FAQ below to find out where you can go.)
  3. Click here or call (408) 535-6139 ext. 15013 to make an appointment for fingerprinting.
  4. On the day of your appointment, please bring: your TB test results (must be within 60 days of your appointment); a valid picture ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.); AND $10 cash or check (no credit cards).

Once your fingerprints have been cleared by the Department of Justice and FBI, you will receive an email confirmation letting you know that you have been cleared to volunteer.

TB Test can be done with your HMO or at the Santa Clara Public Health Department located at 976 Lenzen Ave. San Jose, CA.
