Veterinary Technician ExternAt — Banfield Pet Hospital - Lakewood, CA
Banfield's Veterinary Technician Externship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in AVMA/CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technology programs with hands-on experience to develop the skills and knowledge needed to supplement their classroom education, as well as to prepare for their state exam (if required) and Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).
By the end of the Externship students will have learned most of the skills necessary to complete their course.
Our Veterinary Technician externship is designed to provide students enrolled in AVMA/CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technology programs with hands-on experience to develop the skills and knowledge needed to supplement their classroom education, as well as to prepare for their state exam (if required) and Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). Each participant is paired with a credentialed VT coach (DVM if a VT is unavailable) and the placement is spent focusing on learning objectives. The program will be tailored to the student based on their skill set, learning objectives, program duration, and availability.
Participants will be required to complete safety training through our online learning modules in Banfield University.
