Inclusion FacilitatorAt — YMCA of Orange County

Support the Y Inclusion program in order to facilitate the inclusion of children ages: Toddler through adolescence with special needs/developmental disabilities one-on-one in a child care program setting.

• Provide one-on-one inclusion support to children with special needs/developmental disabilities at childcare sites. Support and guide child through redirecting challenging behaviors, positive behavior reinforcement, facilitate positive social skills with peers,
• Implement and follow the recommended inclusion plan to assist child in achieving established
• Collect and record daily data regarding child's progress towards goals, attendance, behavior observations, etc.
• Recommend changes to the Inclusion Plan and child's goals if
• Daily communication with child's parent/site director regarding child's accomplishments and activities.
• Model, communicate, and instruct child care provider staff on appropriate behavior interventions for
• Follow and enforce safety standards, policies and procedures YMCA and alternate child care provider sites.

Training
Student will work closely with student/member on developing behaviors and setting goals for learning and using positive reinforcement and intervention. Document challenges and successes, work with parents and educators on progress, and assist with setting new goals. Actively participate in staff development and training opportunities including but not limited to special needs topics, child development, positive behavior interventions
