TeacherAt — Kiddie Academy of Yorba Linda

Provide educational child care as well as breakfast, lunch, and snack to children three months old to five years old.

- Serve children breakfast, lunch and snack.
- Assess and record the children's physical wellbeing daily on a form.
- Communicate with parents about their child's day using the portal as well as at pick up and drop off.
- Create and follow lesson plans.
- Set personalized educational goals for each child in the classroom.
- Ensure children's mandatory paperwork is up to date.
- Create fun and interactive play for children.
- Conduct circle time on a daily basis.
- Conduct arts and crafts with the children so that they may explore their senses while expressing themselves through art.
- Create an environment where children learn to socialize with their peers.

Training:

Students will be trained by the head of education at Kiddie Academy of Yorba Linda as well as a lead teacher inside the classroom. During the training, the student will become familiarized with the daily schedules, children and their families, as well as the educational curriculum from Kiddie Academy.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to effectively communicate with children and their families, create and follow lesson plans, set individualized educational goals for each child, and care for the mental and physical well being of young children.
