Organization Description

Our mission is to inspire and support every member of the LGBTQ+ community by creating a culture of well-being. We envision a healthy, vibrant, and diverse intergenerational LGBTQ+ community, safe and secure in their persons, schools, work, and homes; fueled by a spirit of collaboration with each other and the greater community. TDC offers LGBTQ+ affirming MH services to Youth, Family Members, Adults, Seniors, & LGBTQ+ residents of Santa Cruz County. MH services include individual, relational, family, and group counseling and case management. We offer affirming trainings & workshops.

Program Information

The Diversity Center's Mental Health Program is located in Santa Cruz County. We are a 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming counseling center for our LGBTQ+ community and offer individual, couple, family and group sessions. Clinical Trainees receive practicum training and experience in clinical assessment, therapeutic trauma-informed models for 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming care, setting clinical treatment goals, case management care, and closing clinical services. Trainees have the opportunity to develop and conduct a group multi-week offering. We have two licensed clinicians available for clinical support, and we offer weekly individual and group supervision. A stipend is granted at the end of the practicum.
