Organization Description

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is the largest department within the Health & Human Services Agency, which also encompasses: Ambulance Billing Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, and Veterans Services. 

The mission of the Tuolumne County Department of Social Services is to provide appropriate services to individuals and families to enhance self-sufficiency. Such services include financial assistance, medical benefits, in-home care for the elderly and disabled, employment and training services, and protective services for children and adults.
