Dayle McIntosh Center

Organization Description

The Dayle McIntosh Center is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that focuses on core services and serves as a hub organization with many referral resources, programs, and partners. We provide services to people with disabilities and older adults as we facilitate equal, equitable access and inclusion within the community. The organization’s vision statement is “People with disabilities and older adults have equal opportunities to lead their lives as they choose.”

Health & Safety

DMC is a peer-based organization, which means that the majority of the team of staff and governing Board of Directors is composed of individuals, who have disabilities themselves. Most of our volunteer roles do not involve direct contact with our consumers except for our Reception and Youth Program positions. Training is provided by staff.

As an organization working with high-risk and immunocompromised individuals, we follow strict health guidelines to protect the health and safety of the individuals we serve. All volunteers must follow DMC COVID safety protocols which may change depending on the county’s risk level. We require face masks at our office and also inquire about COVID-19 vaccination status. Volunteers who are not vaccinated or prefer not to disclose vaccination status must provide a negative COVID-19 test 24 hours before visiting the DMC office. Free COVID-19 tests will be available upon request.

Volunteers are supervised at all times. Volunteers will be supported by the Volunteer Coordinator and an additional staff member.
