Opportunity Summary
The We Bridges family empowers older adults and people with disabilities to live with greater independence and dignity. Here, adults in our community benefit from health care services, respite and companionship. Elderday is part of the Community of programs.
Examples of what might be asked of you:
- Prepare materials for activities or for daily tasks
- Help to serve snacks or lunch
- Escort and greet participants upon arrival and departure.
- Lead/Assist with activities such as conversations, trivia, puzzles, art, crafts
- Participate alongside participants in recreational activities (yoga, bingo, circle games, etc.)
- Read to a participant or small group.
- Provide companionship to a specific participant who might be having a difficult day and who needs individual attention
- If you have specific talents please let us know so we can try to incorporate them into your volunteer experience.
3-4 service learners
Location: 501 Main St., Watsonville, CA 95076
Hours: Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm. No evening or weekends.
