Opportunity Summary 

The intern will assist in various projects related to organizational behavior, employee
engagement, and performance management. Responsibilities will include conducting assessments of future and current employees, analyzing survey data for marketing, supporting training sessions, and collaborating on team initiatives to improve workplace culture.

Tasks:

-Conduct assessments on topics relevant to organizational psychology (employee selection, training and development, performance reinforcement, etc.)
-Assist in designing and distributing employee surveys to assess engagement and performance.
-Analyze and prepare reports summarizing findings.
-Support the development and facilitation of training sessions for employees. -Collaborate with team members on marketing research -Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
-Develop materials for workshops or presentations based on psychological principles (customer service and satisfaction, team dynamics, conflict resolution, etc.)

Training:

-Initial Orientation: A comprehensive introduction to organizational psychology principles, working practices, and emergency procedures
-Conduct assessments during interview to see if interviewees are fit for the job -Mentorship Meetings: Weekly one-on-one sessions to discuss progress, challenges, and career development
-Set up checklist that goes against any prejudices, stereotypes, or discriminations of such
-Feedback Mechanisms: Regular feedback on projects, including bi-weekly performance reviews and constructive debriefings after presentations.
-Professional Development Workshops: Monthly workshops on relevant topics, such as customer service strategies and effective communication strategies
-Train employees and give guidelines of the job
-Allow for development into higher positions.

Learning outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to apply I/O principles to the job to facilitate a successful and efficient work environment. She will be able to conduct interviews and choose the best fit for the job independently. Analyze and interpret data related to employee performance and engagement. Design and implement basic organizational interventions aimed at enhancing workplace productivity. Communicate effectively within teams and present findings to supervisor. Apply psychological principles to real-world organizational challenges.
