Program Information

Suburban Water Systems, part of SouthWest Water Company, is a regulated investor-owned water utility serving approximately 300,000 people across a 42-square-mile area in parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties, including cities like Covina, West Covina, and Whittier. The system operates 20 wells, 34 reservoirs, and over 870 miles of pipelines, distributing about 45,000 acre-feet of water annually. Its water supply comes primarily from groundwater wells in the Main San Gabriel and Central Basins, treated and disinfected before distribution. Additional water is purchased from local agencies, including the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
