AWH’s mission is to: Maximize potential of disabled/disadvantaged/special-needs children providing developmental therapy, education and recreation through horses and the environment, with measurable improvement physically, mentally, socially and/or emotionally resulting in increased self-sufficiency and the ability to lead better and more independent and productive lives capable of contributing to society.

Health & Safety

Volunteers must sign a liability release form. All volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Some volunteers may be working with horses. Closed toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves is required. (No tank tops; t-shirts are fine.)

Closed Sundays and Mondays. Tues-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 8am-4pm. Thursdays we have our mobile program, so not in the office the entire day.
