Dedicated Team Kids Coaches, university interns, and local public safety partners lead the Team Kids Challenge six-week program teaching elementary school students to advocate for real-world causes such as homelessness, hunger, safety, and environmental concerns. Guided by a youth leadership team, they tackle weekly service challenges that meet community needs and organize a student-led charity carnival, donating 100 percent of proceeds to their chosen charity. This hands-on program occurs entirely during the school day highlighting a unique program-based learning approach. Participants are fostering leadership teamwork, and civic responsibility, while deepening empathy and understanding of the world around them.
