Opportunity Summary 

Are you a creative Computer Science or Web Design student passionate about storytelling and sustainability? Join Californians Against Waste (CAW), a pioneer in recycling and waste reduction advocacy, to manage and enhance www.cawrecycles.org.

Since 1977, CAW has led California’s fight against waste and pollution, shaping policies that inspire global change. In this role, you’ll help tell the story of California’s environmental legacy through digital storytelling, graphic design, and website management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design engaging web pages that highlight CAW’s impact and current campaigns.
  • Create compelling graphics and infographics to inspire action.
  • Maintain website performance and ensure user-friendly updates.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be trained in how to use Squarespace and Canva to edit existing websites and align work with CAW brand standards

Our point of contact who will be working closely with the student will check in with the student on a regular basis (weekly / bi-weekly) to check in on progress and troubleshoot issues and ensure tasks are being prioritized appropriately.
