This unpaid internship. However, we are looking to add a paid position at the conclusion of the internship and are excited to offer this opportunity to the ideal candidate.

The Digital Content Creation and Social Media Intern will receive training on our particular brand and mission, using the CapCut application, and creating visually compelling content for our digital platforms.

Ideal Skills and Certifications

  • Proficiency in Video Editing Software
  • Experience or coursework in photography, videography, or digital media preferred

Responsibilities

  • Capture and edit photos and videos for website, social media, and digital advertisements
  • Create engaging ads, reels, and videos that resonate with our audience
  • Assist in maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms
  • Collaborate with marketing team to brainstorm and execute content ideas
  • Monitor social media platforms for trends and opportunities
  • Support other digital marketing initiatives as needed

Training:

The student will receive a comprehensive training program designed to facilitate learning outcomes and ensure their success in this digital content creation and social media internship. The training will include:
General Employer Orientation
An initial orientation session to introduce the student to the company’s mission, values, and culture. This will cover company policies, digital tools used by the team, and expectations for the internship. The student will also be introduced to the team members and given a tour of the studio.
Weekly One-on-One Mentor Meetings
Every week, the student will have a scheduled one-on-one meeting with their assigned mentor. These meetings will provide the opportunity to review progress on tasks, discuss challenges, receive feedback on completed work, and plan for the upcoming week. These sessions are intended to guide the student’s development and ensure alignment with company goals.
Job Shadowing
The student will shadow the mentor and other team members during their content creation process. This will include observing the planning, shooting, and editing phases of video and photo content. The student will learn firsthand how to tailor content to the brand, collaborate with the team, and integrate feedback into the creative process.
Digital and In-Person Training
The student will receive training on digital marketing best practices, including social media management, content creation for online platforms, and understanding analytics to measure content performance. In-person training will involve learning editing software, and applying these skills to real-world content creation.
Provision of Work Samples
Throughout the internship, the student will receive samples of past content created for the studio, giving them a clear understanding of the quality and style expected. These work samples will serve as benchmarks for the student’s own work and help them refine their skills and align their content with the brand’s identity.
Contextualization of Assigned Tasks
Every task the student is assigned will come with a clear context explaining how it fits into the larger marketing and business strategy. This will help the student understand the impact of their work and how their efforts contribute to the overall success of the studio.
This structured training approach will support the student’s growth and ensure they acquire the necessary skills to succeed in the internship and beyond.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of this academic internship, the student will be able to:

Create and edit high-quality photos and videos tailored to a yoga studio’s brand and audience for use across digital platforms such as social media, websites, and advertisements.

Develop engaging social media content that effectively communicates the studio's mission and values, driving community engagement and increasing brand visibility.

Collaborate with a marketing team to brainstorm, plan, and execute content strategies that align with business goals and foster a positive brand presence.

Utilize digital tools to produce professional-level content for various online marketing purposes.

Analyze social media trends and adapt content strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and alignment with audience preferences.
