Tasks:

1. able to do patient intake
2. patient vitals
3. assist physician with patient during medical visit
4.patient discharge procedure
6. learn safety codes and programs related to their study

Training:

1. initial meeting to include staff procedures and safety protocols.
2. orientation with student on specific tasks that will be implemented for her internship.
3. weekly meetings on progress, concerns and anything that needs to be addressed to assist the student in completing her tasks.
4. Ensure that the student is on track for completing all goals and tasks.

Learning Outcome:

1. assist physicians in the back office with patients.
2. patient intake including vitals
3. blood and urine draw
4. able to follow the safety rules and precautions in the medical field
