Migrate Perl Code To PythonAt — General Atomics
Opportunity Summary
We have a complex Perl script (among others) that mines and analyzed Git repositories, commits, etc. We want to start migrating over to Python since there are more people familiar with Python than are with Perl.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
The student will become much more familiar with Python and its uses. They will also acquire a familiarity with Perl although not to the same extent.
Opportunity Training
A subject matter expert will be mentoring the student. It is assumed that the student has some experience with programming and with Python in particular.

Opportunity Application Instructions
The student has a current intern relationship with General Atomics. This will be continued per GA procedures. The student will work as needed with her supervisor to get any paperwork completed.
