Opportunity Summary 

No-Cost Virtual Peer Mentorship Providing Support to LGBTQ Students

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Volunteers will learn how to best support LGBTQ students and their peers.

Opportunity Training 

Volunteers receive a 2-hour training on the weekend to best support the need of LGBTQ students, how to handle a crisis, and best practices, as well as asynchronous courses, and a required QPR certificate (financial assistance is available).

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Volunteers may work with folks who are at increased risk for self-harm.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

Volunteers will be asked to meet with a volunteer supervisor for a 15-minute information session to discuss the roles and training requirements. This requirement can also be completed through an email exchange.
