Opportunity Summary 

In this position the student will assist program coordinator with the migration of exhibition materials, such as posters, images, and labels from Canva to the department Dropbox folders. In addition, using our template, the student will assist with adding provided content to exhibition pages in OmniUpdate (no experience necessary, we will train in-house). Student Assistant will be trained in both Canva and OmniUpdate. While the main focus is on 2025, if time permits we will work on archiving older exhibits as well. Also if time permits, we will hold a CV workshop.

Learning Outcomes  

Create, add and/or download content from Canva, the platform used in exhibits for creating exhibition content such as labels and posters.
Synthesize and add exhibit descriptions to OmniUpdate.

Training  

I will work with the student in learning about the history of the program and provide guidance on written exhibit content (editing and terminology). I will oversee the student and peer mentor on the actual contest synthesizing and movement between platforms. I will initiate ATI compliance training with Information Technology, conducted via Zoom, and training with the Library's Programmer on OmniUpdate procedures, also via Zoom.

Tasks/Duties  

successfully accessing and migrating files from Canva to Dropbox.
successfully synthesizing content and adding the same to the exhibit web pages in OmniUpdate
successfully creating an appropriate CV they can use for a job search.
