Opportunity Summary 

Are you skilled in using Blender’s 3D modeling software and passionate about mentoring young minds? Teen members at the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos are embarking on their second Best Buy Charity Classic project – building a fully functioning banana go-kart! We’re looking for a volunteer proficient in Blender to help our teens create a 3D-modeled banana that will be 3D printed and attached to a metal go-kart frame.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Volunteers will further their knowledge about 3D printing technology and gain leadership skills as they guide teen Club members on the 3D printing process.

Opportunity Training 

Students will assist the Teen Tech Center Coordinator and learn the Blender software in more depth.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

Students will be asked to meet with the Teen Tech Center Coordinator and demonstrate their knowledge and ability to use Blender software and 3D printing technology.
