Do you have what it takes to start a movement on campus? Our goal is to create memorable music experiences for students nationwide. We’re seeking ambitious student leaders who believe in the power of the collective and want to bring the magic to their campus. Here’s how ticketing works.
What does it mean to be an Up & Up Ambassador?
You will spearhead an exciting campaign to bring a headlining act to perform at your school. It’ll be through word-of-mouth, philanthropy, IG/TikTok influencer marketing, dark socials (GroupMes, ListServs), campus press, LinkedIn, dorms, Tinder DM’s, partnerships with student organizations, concert committees, local venues, and creating engaging social content that students want to see—all with relentless passion.
You’ll gain unprecedented marketing and music industry experience working under the tutelage of the Up & Up team. Several past winners went on to
work full/part-time for our parent company, Idol Roc Entertainment. Read our ambassadors’ reviews here and the FAQ on our company website.
Scope of Work / Requirements before the Competition:
1) Turn on notifications for @upandupfestival to receive our latest posts and easily share them
2) We suggest assembling a 5-20 person team to actively promote this—especially social chairs in Greek Life, Influencers, popular freshmen, student organizations, popular bars, and student residences), graphic/video designers, photographers, meme creators, social content curators, and street teams.
3) Post-IG/TikTok/Stories content to grow and strengthen your community. Post memes, campus culture, and spotlight ambassadors and festival crushes.
4) Recruiting campus influencers for paid opportunities to help your school win
5) Source locations on campus to host the festival if your school wins (local venues, gym, fields, fraternity houses, etc.) or off-campus venues, event centers, and fairgrounds. We’re ready to speak to ANYONE right away or fill out any necessary applications to secure the venue.
6) Securing press from school newspapers and gaining affinity from your local Barstool, Chicks, Freshman 2028 pages, Old Rows, Friday Beers, Red Cups, Yik-Yaks Instagram Accounts to bring further hype. We’ll offer them each two All Access passes for the event.
7) Secure tabling opportunities in high-traffic areas of your campus, such as the quad or dormitories, to drive attention. We’ll supply you with signage, stickers, custom flags, jerseys for the team, merch giveaways, and Monster Energy drinks.
8) Organizing an awesome rally party at a popular bar (we’ll provide a budget for things like DJs, photographers & marketing materials). *THESE WILL BE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL*
9) All ambassadors must attend the Zoom National Pep Rally session, which will take a week before the pre-sale. This networking platform for college students will feature rising college DJs, Industry guest speakers, and Q&As with previous winning ambassadors.
Best Practices
We strongly suggest engaging with Greek Life + other student leaders on campus. Your team will earn 25 Meet & Greets, which you can leverage for giveaways and favors. Getting on ListServs, e-blasts & Greek Life GroupMes, and popular IG pages will help entice the student body to buy pre-sales. You’ll be given a reasonable budget to hang posters and distribute flyers door-to-door in dormitories, Greek Row, apartment complexes, etc.
Another idea is creating a rally video or BIG Moment that students will want to share. The idea is to go on campus viral. The Clemson team created a video featuring Mark Wahlberg, and the Miami-Ohio team got the school’s president to make a video.
What’s in it for you:
-- The top # colleges will earn a spot on tour with our featured headliner; top # additional colleges will earn the President’s Award with a different headliner. To earn the President’s Award, we’ll review and pick from the 3 best business plans)
-- Customize the Festival: Help decide the venue, date, 3 openers, video/photographers, decor, charities, local sponsors/partners, and after parties.
-- 25 total Artist Meet & Greets (for you to leverage wisely) and All Access passes for your team. You can announce the headliner on stage.
-- Working alongside a top national promoter, Fortune 500 brand, prominent booking agency & world-class artist management team.
-- Internship credit on a case-by-case basis. The same applies to letters of recommendation.
