Behavior TechnicianAt — Hope Speech and Language Therapy

Opportunity Summary 

Make a meaningful impact by providing individualized, one-on-one therapy to our Hope clients across diverse treatment settings (e.g. homes, clinics, schools). As a behavior technician, you’ll play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to foster positive outcomes in children with autism and developmental delays.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

You'll have a deep knowledge of behavioral science and how to best respond to clients behaviors and demands in a variety of settings in order to help them best make progress in various areas in their life.

Opportunity Training 

One week training centered on foundational aspects of ABA, role play, shadowing, learning how to collect session data.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Student will be working with special needs kids and teenagers who potentially may have moderate to severe behaviors where they may respond when overstimulated by having frustration fits, trying to elope and/or engage physically with others, may throw objects or attempt self-harm
