Social Media Video Editor & Marketing InternAt — Jims Ink/Prolific Studio
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to shadow and assist existing staff in editing and organizing content (photos and videos) for our business’s social media platforms. This role provides hands-on learning opportunities in content curation, social media scheduling, and strategic marketing. Under direct supervision, the intern will learn to use social media management tools and develop creative skills for crafting engaging captions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shadow and assist staff in organizing and editing photos and videos for social media.
• Learn to download and upload content onto an automated scheduling application.
• Help write engaging captions tailored to each platform.
• Observe and assist in uploading content on various social media platforms.
•. Assist in tracking social media analytics to learn how to measure engagement and provide insights under the supervision of existing staff.
Requirements:
• Interest in social media and content creation.
• Basic familiarity with photo and video editing is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a supportive team environment.
Position Type:
• Unpaid, flexible hours based on the intern's availability.

Tasks:
Assist and learn about content creation, video editing, and producing engaging content for social media platforms. Observe and utilize editing software Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator while gaining hands-on experience. Support existing staff in analyzing social media analytics to learn how to measure engagement and provide insights for business marketing strategies.
Training:
Weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, hands-on experience.
Learning outcome:
By the end of the internship, the intern will gain skills in editing and organizing social media content using Adobe software, writing effective social media captions, understand strategic marketing and public relations tactics, utilize automated scheduling tools for content management and interpret social media analytics to understand engagement metrics and contribute to strategic decision-making.
