Responsibilities Assisting with classroom management Playing with children during activities and outdoor play Engaging with children during mealtimes and transitions Organizing activities Ensuring a safe and enriching environment Providing guidance to children Internship experience Interns may gradually take on more planning, instruction, and assessment responsibilities Interns may manage their mentor's classroom during lead teaching periods Interns may learn about child development, program planning, and recreation management Internship expectations Interns may complete tasks assigned by a supervisor Interns may learn technical skills related to the industry Interns may participate in mentoring and training Successful intern traits Positive attitude Ability to learn on the go Good time management, organization, and communication skills
