Family Resource Center InternAt — Community Action Partnership of Orange County

Opportunity Summary 

Under the guidance and supervision of the Center Manager, the FRC Intern works closely with their designated mentor to provide information, referrals, community resources and case management services to participants and families. This Internship is ideal for anyone wanting to make a difference in the lives of low-income participants and communities. The internship site will be discussed during interview (Anaheim or Orange)

Tasks
\u25e6 Assist I&R staff to navigate resources for community members
\u25e6 Answer phone calls and cover front desk as needed
\u25e6 Oversee and track referrals
\u25e6 Conduct Intake sessions with community members under the supervision of intern mentor
\u25aa Assist with tax preparation intake (February – April only)
\u25e6 Assist with seasonal activities
\u25e6 Conduct outreach for center events
\u25e6 Prepare for workshops, activities, food/diaper distributions, and meal programs for youth and seniors
\u25e6 Participate in senior program and engage participants in activities
