Opportunity Summary 

The Volunteer Coordination Intern will assist in planning and executing volunteer events, supporting communication, scheduling, and logistics. Responsibilities include capturing event photos, contributing to social media updates, managing and updating volunteer databases, and assisting with volunteer recognition efforts. Ideal candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask in a team setting, and basic experience with social media platforms. This internship offers hands-on experience in volunteer management, networking opportunities, and skill development.

Tasks:

Student will be assisting the Volunteer Coordinator in Volunteer Event planning and day of logistics (assisting with registration, taking event photos, building relationships with volunteer groups), assisting in volunteer recruitment, assisting to manage volunteer data base, among other duties that may arise.

Training:

General employee orientation, training with the Volunteer Coordinator, weekly meetings with Volunteer Coordinator, monthly check-ins with the Advancement Manager, job shadowing.

Learning Outcome:

Hands-on experience in nonprofit volunteer management.
Networking opportunities with professionals in the nonprofit sector.
Practical knowledge of nonprofit operations, event logistics, and volunteer engagement strategies.
