Physical Therapy Volunteer/intern. To learn about the Physical Therapy profession. To observe Physical Therapists working in an out-patient Physical Therapy clinic.
Tasks:
Observation. Keep the treatment location clean, organize equipment and treatment tools, help keep record of exercises patients perform each treatment session, assist Physical Therapist as needed.
Training:
Student will be in the same location as the Physical Therapists and aides, and learning will be on an ongoing basis by shadowing the PT.
Learning Outcome:
To understand and appreciate the provision of Physical Therapy treatment in an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic by skilled and experienced Physical Therapists. To understand and appreciate the recovery from pain and injuries without the use of drugs, medications. Understand the various forms of exercises utilized during treatment and the rational behind each form.
