Opportunity Summary 

PULL Public Relations, a rapidly growing full-service fashion creative agency based in LA, is looking for Summer 2025 PR Interns to join our team. No prior experience is required, however the ideal applicant must be eager to learn and available to work in-person at least 2 days (15 hrs) a week 9:30-5 pm at our LA office located in the 90048 area code 

Tasks:

  • Ensuring showroom and office is kept in top shape; including steaming product, maintaining displays, restocking shelves
  • Product inventories
  • Documenting VIP, influencer, and editor gifting and stylist loans
  • Packaging gifts and writing notecards for VIPs, influencers, and editors
  • Basic administrative tasks and office duties
  • Updating monthly reporting docs and press clippings
  • Scouting new talent to collaborate with for fashion clients
  • Assisting team on stylist and influencer showroom appointments
  • Building editorial outreach lists
  • Developing pitch ideas for editorial publications
  • Participating in creative brainstorming

Training:

  • Mentorship
  • Bi Monthly 1:1 mentor meetings
  • Frequency of One-on-One Meetings: Supervisors will conduct one-on-one meetings with interns biweekly to set goals, assess progress, and discuss any challenges. These sessions provide an opportunity for tailored feedback and clarification of tasks, ensuring interns feel supported and clear on expectations. Additional check-ins may occur as needed to address specific projects or concerns. Communication is ongoing as we work with interns 1:1 throughout the day and are continuously providing relevant communication.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Supervisors offer consistent, actionable feedback on daily tasks such as product inventory management, updating press docs, and assisting with stylist appointments. During monthly evaluations, supervisors review overall performance, focusing on areas of growth and recognizing accomplishments to ensure the intern meets their learning objectives.

 

Direct Instruction and Observational Learning:

  • Job Shadowing: Interns have the opportunity to shadow supervisors during key PR activities like influencer and stylist appointments, editorial brainstorming sessions, and VIP gift documentation. This hands-on learning allows interns to observe effective client interactions and see firsthand how strategies are applied in real time. Interns will oversee all aspects of the business and we work together with our interns, not just give them tasks to complete. 
  • Task-Specific Training: Supervisors provide direct instruction on tasks, such as developing editorial outreach lists, pitching ideas, and maintaining showroom displays. Training covers both technical aspects and best practices, including organizing product displays to industry standards.
  • Mandatory Training and Safety Procedures: Interns receive an initial orientation that includes safety procedures for the office and showroom. This covers the proper use of equipment, such as steamers, and general workplace safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
  • Creative Brainstorming and Collaboration: Supervisors encourage interns to participate in brainstorming sessions and offer guidance in developing pitch ideas for editorial publications. This collaborative training approach helps interns build creativity and strategic thinking, with the supervisor guiding them on aligning pitches to client branding and current trends.

Learning Outcome:

  • Gain Foundational Public Relations Skills: Develop hands-on experience in maintaining a professional showroom, including inventory management, product display, and brand presentation. Learn best practices for documenting PR processes like gifting, influencer, and editor outreach.
    Strengthen Event Coordination and Organizational Abilities: Acquire skills in organizing and coordinating influencer and stylist showroom appointments, ensuring smooth and efficient appointments. Demonstrate an understanding of office administration by managing essential daily tasks to maintain a well-functioning work environment.
    Develop Strategic Pitching and Outreach Techniques: Build expertise in developing editorial outreach lists and pitching creative ideas to targeted publications. Collaborate with team members in brainstorming sessions, contributing to innovative PR campaigns and strategies for fashion clients.
    Enhance Networking and Relationship-Building Skills: Gain insights into relationship-building with VIPs, influencers, editors, and stylists by participating in gifting and outreach processes. Scout new talent for brand collaborations, developing a keen eye for strategic partnerships in the fashion industry.
