Opportunity Summary 

- Design social media posts for company when necessary

- Construct multiple seasonal/weekly menus 

- Add graphics and designs to weekly newsletters to be sent via email to customers

- Create samples for future merchandise drops (logos for hats, shirts, mugs, etc)

- Create flyers to help announce future events

Tasks:

During the time of the internship the following tasks will be asked of them:
- Creating 2-3 weekly social media posts showcasing new products or announcements the company may have
- Design our seasonal summer menu to be posted in all cafes
- Design our weekly \\brew bar\\ menu showcasing our new coffees each week
- Create weekly email newsletters by adding graphics and designs to showcase company logos/colors/branding.
- Design our 10 year anniversary invitation/flyer for our customers and employees regarding our latte art showdown competition that will be taking place this summer
- Using past products to help stick to the brand aesthetic, the student will provide us with 2 samples of designs to appear on future merchandise (hats/mugs/shirts)

Training:

The student will be subject to meet with both our social media coordinator and our head of marketing 3 times a week. The first meeting will be an overview of what is expected/needed throughout the week and how to achieve these goals. During this time our marketing manager and social media coordinator will be giving the student the proper tools to be able to complete the tasks that are being asked of them. The next meeting is to check on the work that is being done/answer any questions the student may have/guide the student to make sure they are on the right track/as well as give valuable insight on how to successfully complete the tasks at hand. The final meeting will be to look over the final result of their projects and grade/critique their work. We will be showing the student past strategies of time management to also help them when having to create their work in a timely manner. A company computer will be given to them upon starting their internship (if needed). An office on site will be available to them Monday-Friday as well as they will be able to work remotely. Our social media coordinator and marketing manager will be available on these days as well with any questions and concerns the student may have.

Learning Outcome:

- Successfully create social media posts to help with advertising brand/announce new products
- Make seasonal and weekly menus to be distributed to all of our locations in a timely manner
- Create weekly newsletters with eye catching graphics and designs for our customers
- Design flyers for customers announcing soon to be events
- Create graphics and designs that are new and exciting yet still keeping our brand
