Organization Description

Skills of Life Cafe’s job training internship program provides the opportunity for teens and young adults that are neurodiverse, to gain strength in the skills required for competitive employment. Our curriculum guided job training program provides self-awareness, purpose, goal direction, and enhancement of the fundamentals in workforce skills. Skills of Life Cafe is providing our interns the opportunity to be regarded and equally considered in the general workforce setting.

Health & Safety

Our job training program onboards teens and young adults that have intellectual disabilities.

Skills of LIie will provide the university participants with our forms that we ask our volunteers to sign. These are general wiavers, one of which is a media release form as we often post to social media and at times are interviewed by the media.

Additional requirements and/or considerations
  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • POPULATION SERVED: Students will be working with unsupervised with minors.
